Musthave review
SpeechPulse is an offline speech-recognition application for dictating into desktop apps, transcribing recordings and translating supported speech on Windows and Apple-silicon Macs.
SpeechPulse performs speech recognition locally and can type into text editors, browsers and office applications. It also transcribes or translates audio files and can create SRT or VTT subtitle files. The current download page lists Windows 10 or 11 and macOS 13 or later on Apple-silicon Macs. Windows users can run the included English model on the CPU, while larger models are better suited to a compatible NVIDIA GPU.
A 30-day trial is available. A one-time Windows license costs $99 plus tax, and the macOS license is also $99 plus tax. A Windows and macOS bundle costs $159 plus tax. The vendor says the purchase includes current and future updates and permits the named user to activate the license on up to six computers. Performance still depends on hardware, model size, microphone quality and the target application.
Use the trial with the same microphone, computer and applications planned for daily work. Check recognition speed, punctuation and how text reaches each target app. Offline processing is attractive for privacy and predictable cost, but it does not eliminate the need to secure local audio files and transcripts.
SpeechPulse is useful for people who want local desktop dictation or transcription without a recurring subscription. It is not suitable for Android, iPhone, Intel Macs or teams that need a centrally managed cloud transcription service.

Speech recognition runs offline after installation and the required models have been downloaded. This can reduce recurring cloud costs and keep routine processing on the computer, but users still need to secure local recordings, transcripts and backups.
The current download page lists 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. On Mac, it requires an Apple-silicon processor and macOS 13 or later. Intel Macs, Linux computers and mobile operating systems are not listed as supported platforms.
After the 30-day trial, a one-time Windows license is $99 plus tax and a one-time macOS license is $99 plus tax. The combined Windows and macOS bundle is $159 plus tax. The vendor says current and future updates are included.
The vendor says a named user can activate a license on up to six computers for personal use. A license cannot be shared or transferred to another person. Additional users need their own license keys.
Performance depends on the speech model, processor, available GPU, microphone quality and application input mode. The vendor recommends a compatible NVIDIA GPU for live dictation with medium and large models on Windows. Test representative apps during the trial.
SpeechPulse offers a 30-day trial. A one-time Windows or macOS license is $99 plus tax, and the combined Windows and macOS bundle is $159 plus tax. Pricing and limits were checked on October 1, 2026 and may change after that date.
